I’ve talked about it a few times here and it’s worth mentioning that Bliggo’s Blog Advertising system has gone live.

You can advertise pretty much anything and they place your ad across thousands of high traffic blogs, and with their phrase link system you can buy text link ads and phrases across their whole network of sites. Wicked CSS Clan Server and hosting in the UK

As many of you know I’m an avid gamer and have been looking for a good gamehosting/server company for a while. Well… I found one.

So I’ve been looking around for a while trying to find a good hosting company for my counterstrike clan - we’ve been looking for a CSS clan server somewhere in the UK that was cheap and fast and haven’t had much luck until now. After spending a while looking around I found a company called UK3X.

I did a bit of research in to them and it turns out that they’re a UK based company. After playing on their public servers for a bit the whole clan got some really low ping times so we went ahead and ordered a server. We’d been worried about actually sorting out the cost for it but they even let us split the cost between the entire clan rather than paying in one go. This is so awesome - saved us having to get everyone’s money up front which would have been a nightmare to organise.

As well as the counter-strike source gaming server we’ve also taken a web hosting package with them and a teamspeak server - costing us only a few pence each a month in reality so can’t complain… so far our pings have been incredibly low and the support guys have been wicked - much better than any other servers we’ve tried.

Moral of the story is if you’re thinking about web hosting, gaming / clan servers or TS2 servers then you should really check out UK3X - they offer all the big games and pretty much anything else. The support guys were excellent sorting everything out so I’ll certainly be using them again.

Unreal Tournament 3 UT3 Clan Server and Hosting in The UK!

Well its November, its cold, its wet, and I was bored..so today I decided to have a look at what new PC games were coming out over the next few weeks - after all its payday soon and I figure I deserve some fun
Blacksite..Need For Speed..few good ones but then i stumbled across Unreal Tournament 3 - I knew they were making a new one but had no idea a demo was out! Rushed to download it (yes I know I’m a few weeks late but hey, I’ve been busy) and had a blast. Started with a bit of single player with the bots so I didn’t look stupid when I went online..was a bit blown away. The graphics are awesome, and I mean awesome..OK so I do have an 8800GTX to show it off ( ) but this looks great. I hear Epic are planning some improvements in the final game too so can’t wait to see it then hehe. Great fun to play too, although I did get a bit bored with the bots.
Then came the real challenge - going online. I mean challenge too - it seemed that every server with a low ping was full! grr, did a bit of Google searching though and finally found a good one (ut3.public.uk3x.com:7787 if your interested)..it had a low ping, was in the UK and busy enough with about 10 people or so on it, but thankfully not full so it meant I could actually play. Online is really where this game comes into its own, real people are *much* more interesting that bots - lol.
Only a week to go now until the final game is out and I can’t wait; I just hope there are enough public servers to play on.. looking at UK3X’s prices though for everything else I may just end up renting one from them as they seem really cheap (www.uk3x.com) and their public server is great to play on.

At least I now have something to do this winter =)
